Unable to open DM_1 file using seismovision

I recently downloaded a demo from a COD forum. I tried to open it using various programs like windows media player but was told the file could not be opened because it had an extension, DM_1 , the programs did not recognise.
I downloaded seismovision V.25 and the updates for the v.25 and COD. I am still unable to open the demo. If I click on the seismovision icon nothing at all happens.
Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?
You may have gathered I am a novice at this.
Doh!

DM_1 file problems

I have now opened seismovision and now get a message (when I try to open the downloaded file using seismovision) that COD could not be found or is not installed and 'unable to apply AVA'.

I do have COD installed. Perhaps the file I've downloaded from the COD forum is not designed to be used with seismovision.

Grateful for any help.

You need to configure Seismovision on where you have installed Call of Duty, go to Options to set it. You will also need to download the Call of Duty v1.20 AVA Update (2). Please note this is the second release of the AVA update.

Seismovision v2.25 should be able to play dm_1 and dm_2 demos. Also note that you need the Call of Duty v1.20 patch.

Thanks Oomjan. I can now watch the demo.

However, when I tried to get onto the usual COD servers I play on I was barred and got a message saying 'Gamecode (ui-MP_x86.dll) failed pure server test'.

I've never had this before. And it has only happened since I located COD on seismovision and played the demo.

Do you know what the message means and how I can rectify this?

Many thanks.

Barred from servers

I forgot to say that the demo was of a hacker shooting thru walls.

Cheers.

I'm investigating this unpure DLL thing. I hope to have a solution for it soon.

Thanks - much appreciated.

I tried to uninstall the softeware but got a message 'Error deleting file or folder; cannot delete sCNSE.dll access is denied'. I did a system refresh. Managed to get it deleted from my registry but am stilll being barred from entering COD servers.

Thanks for your help

Failed pure server

I did as you suggested but I was still getting barred from servers with the message I had failed the pure server check. The patch did not seem to work: perhaps I was not following the instructions correctly.

The only solution was to uninstall and then reinstall the game. This has worked. Can you help me with a couple of queries?
1. I uninstalled seismovision but cannot delete the files in my registry. I get a message 'error deleting file or folder: cannot delete sCMSE.dll. Access is denied'. I've still got Nugardt software on my computer. How do I delete this?
2. I play COD. I'm unsure as to what I need to download for seismovision. I'm assuming (a) seismovision full; (b)seismovision2.25 update (c) v1.2 AVA update(3). Do I need to download anything else? The AVA(2) update or seismovision light?

Thanks for your help.

I've worked out how to delete the files. Doh! They are all gone now.

I'm ready to try again with seismovision but I'm unsure exactly what I need to download .

Cheers.

You will need Seismovision v2.25 LIGHT/FULL with the Call of Duty v1.20 AVA Update (3).
