How do I get steam demos to work?

I have plenty of steam demos that need viewing but whenever I try to launch one it'll say "Go to options to set the path for steam", but when I DO go to options nothing lof the sort appears! I need help!

Goto To Options, on the left hand side find Steam, expand the node and configure all games therein.
